back to reality (almost)

in a last ditch effort to soak up as much satellite tv as possible before leaving my parents house, i saw my first avril lavigne copycat band, the troys. i never really understood the rationale behind "we'll just find 20 new bands that are exactly like this one and have them make music videos that music video scholars couldn't tell apart". are we making music or laundry detergent here people?
