you've gotta love moms

today my mom convinced me to get a manicure and a pedicure at the nearby korean nail salon. after hounding me to wear makeup since age 11, this was my mom's crowning mother-daughter moment. hopefully, i have finally atoned for not joining a sorority in college.

i think the nail professionals were totally disgusted by the sorry state of my cuticles. they kept saying things in korean and pointing to parts of my appendages. then i accidentally turned the still wet polish into goop when i washed my hands. maybe we'll try again at x-mas.
