Hello, Atlantic City
Yesterday I braved the long bus ride to Atlantic City to support my brothers and sisters in UNITEHERE! Local 54 (I love how the union is all brothers and sisters). There were TONS of folks (~10,000) there from around New England. The theme was 1) settle the contracts in Atlantic City and 2) get Bush out of the White House in November. Except for the shiny new casinos, Atlantic City is really run down. I lost a quarter on the slot machines at the Taj Mahal (don't worry- they already settled). Hopefully our marching will bring the casinos back to the table!
