bought tickets to go see the sneak preview of the rules of attraction . the screening also includes a discussion with bret easton ellis (and his editor)! will catch the trian to nyc right after class, catch up with my friend molly for a quick dinner, and hit the cinema. i probably shouldn't make a habit of this, but a monthly adventure to the big apple is probably good for me.



amy didn't make it to the top 15 in the Miss America pagaent on saturday. the winner was the woman with the really bad dress and relatively large nose (i guess they are trying to move away from the stereotype that is is all about the beauty). i caught the last bit of her singing opera before i left to go out. not too shabby. unfortunately, i only saw amy on for 15 minutes tops, but i still watched the rest of the contest. tv can suck you in sometimes.
