wierdness on the subcontinent
i was sitting in this indian restraunt today when a guy comes in, orders some chai tea and strikes up a conversation with the guy behind the counter. it went something like this:
"are you from india?"
"no. from bangledesh."
"i went to bangledesh. were you there in 1979?"
"no, then i was in (somewhere i didn't catch). and qatar."
"i was riding a bike" proceeds to list all of the cities he traveled through on the sub continent. "do you speak arabic?"
"no, not really."
ok, ok here is the interesting part...
"well, i was over there passing out christian literature. are you a muslim?"
"yes."
"can you tell me where the mosque is located around here. i have a map."
i still have no idea what to make of this.
