8 retirees took over the Yale Investment Office this afternoon. Their demands: better pensions and for Yale to settle its contracts with the two unions. Jesse Jackson came. All of the local news affiliates were there. The New Haven chief of police told the Yale guys that the city could arrest the old folks for trespassing, but if Yale didn't send in the cops, they would have to provide the "Yale Eight" with food, water and meds. As far as I know, they are still up there, waiting for Yale to settle.
