that damn stage fright

in a few short hours, i am speaking in front of several hundred people. true, it's only for about 4 minutes, but i feel like throwing up just thinking about it.

everyone is watching me for those 4 minutes. i could say anything. or nothing. or exactly what i wrote on my paper.

the last time i spoke to a crowd this size was in an auditorium in ghana. that was an hour of me talking sex ed to a bunch of high school girls. without a microphone. i think i'll leave the banana at home today.
