well, my friend kaki from high school is playing next week in new haven. unfortunately, tickets to the even are $25, and that's in advance. who is this mike gordon guy? kaki gave me my first pavement tape, and i would really love to see her play the guitar, but i can get half a pair of sneakers for that chunk of change.

update: ok, a quick and dirty google search led me to the identity of mike gordon, aka the bassist for phish. maybe i can just promise the kind bouncers that i'll leave after the opening act?
