snowstorm '03 is on its way

well, recruitment weekend for my department is over. 35 young smiling future scientists consuming liter upon liter of alcohol at yale's expense. current grad students getting the best meal they've had since last recruitment weekend. me having to ask questions like "what is the one thing you would change about the department?" and having endless discussions about the weather. after pondering some type of pr/ constant chatting up people job, have decided that life in the lab is much, much better. cells never care if you smile back at them.
