taking back the academy...one rally @ a time

hopefully the rain will hold off for our the "dissertation derby" - an obstacle course where the participants have only 6 years to make it through before getting kicked out - will start the event off with a bang. as a scientist, i am the only one who finishes in time, but then i have to go back to the starting line for my postdoc. this will probably be a much friendlier crowd than the folks who witnessed the last time i did street theatre.
