Live from Madison, WI

Dear Beloved Readers,

In case you were concerned about me, STOP! I am alive and well and in the middle of RNA Society '04. Where the dorms have the toilet paper locked to the stalls. Where the beer flows all night long. Where thousands of scientists try to make small talk.

That's right. It's all RNA, all the time for the next 4 days. Today I learned about transpliced microRNAs and the ins and outs of careers in science editing. I was a bit disappointed that the "Career Mentoring Workshop" had 35 tables of Academic &/or Industry discussion and ONE on publishing. And ZERO on anything else. But hey, aren't we all going to be professors anyway?
