Well I was born in a (not so) small town. And I (used to) live in a small town
Visiting Athens was really great, although at times I felt like a stranger in a strange land, where everything looked familiar (except everyone's hair was either longer or shorter) but felt very foreign. I think in my longing for a town where everyone knows your name I have inadvertantly shed my skin that is Athens.
Cool things about a small town:
1) you can walk down the street and see 20 different people you know.
2) after cruising around the 4 block square that is downtown, you know you've seen everything
Not so cool things about a small town: see 1) & 2).
