Man, I feel lame. Agonized over getting an absentee ballot for the GA senate race vs. registering here for the CT gubernatorial one. Ended up doing neither. Am now lumped into the apathetic 18-24 demographic with the rest of the MTV generation.

In other news...I am joining the union and probably organizing for them

ok, ok. recognize the 180 from last week. Also managed to work through my fear of being organized and my resolve to say no just because this Christie girl wants me to say yes. Decided to look at this as a learning opportunity. Essentially, she totally appealed to all of my leftist sensibilities: "We are trying to reshape academia", blah. I always thought that they had a point, but I couldn't stand their coercive, abrasive organizing tactics. I have decided that they need all of the help they can get in order to win the right to an election and smooth over their reputation in the life sciences. Have a sinking feeling that I am also pretty good at convincing people that they should do stuff like join unions. We'll see how it shapes up.
