While digging through my mail, i encountered the glossy propaganda of the Reader's Subscription Book Club. Buy 3 books for $1.99 a piece and join the club, no further purchases required, although you do become a "member" (their way of saying they will send you a book a month unless you tell them not to). So, for less than the price of a book, I could get 3 books, which strikes me as pretty cool, since I could always use a few extras. Why do I feel like I'm being suckered?
