a great idea (well, maybe)

thanks to vaughn for linking to the CD Settlement website. now for the idea: they say that the maximum payment one can receive is $20, but if it works out to be < $5, then all of the money goes to a non-profit music group. my question is: which group would this be? if it's a good one that would actually help to lower the cost of cds in the long run, then maybe it's better for everyone to file a claim, so that the money can go to protecting our music purchases in the future.
